Baggage Allowance on Philippine Airlines International Flights
Carry-on Baggage Allowance
- Each passenger is allowed to carry only one carry-on baggage.
- The total linear dimensions of each carry-on baggage should be limited to 56 x 36 x 23 cm.
- The maximum weight of the carry-on baggage should adhere to 7 kg.
- One personal item, from a book, purse, small handbag, blanket, laptop case, duty-free bag, or infant's food, is also allowed onboard.
- Moreover, each passenger can bring one of the following items onboard: a medical assistance item, a small musical instrument, a small camera or binoculars, an extension cord, or power straps.
Note: You can occupy a separate seat to secure the space for your valuable luggage, including musical instruments, religious items, etc., provided that it fulfils:
- You are only allowed to carry one item onboard.
- The maximum weight of the item doesn't exceed 32 kg.
- The item should be properly packed so that it won't cause any injuries to the passengers onboard.
- The height of your item should not exceed the height of the backrest.
- The charge for the seat is 100 per cent of the applicable fare per seat of Economy or Premium Economy/Comfort cabins.
- You should have to make prior arrangements for your extra seat with PAL ticket offices.
Checked-in Baggage Allowance
- Philippine Airlines doesn't allow checked-in baggage on Economy Supersaver tickets from the Philippines to Hong Kong/Taipeh or vice versa.
- On Asia, Pacific, and European flights, you can bring your checked-in baggage between 23 and 35 kg for Economy Supersaver/Saver/value/flex Class.
- For Economy Supersaver/Saver/Value/Flex Class, you can bring two pieces of checked baggage weighing no more than 23 kg each to flights in the Middle East, Japan, Guam, the US, and Canada.
- On Asia, Pacific, and European flights, you can bring your checked-in baggage between 30 and 40 kg for Premium Economy Class.
- For Premium Economy Class, you can bring two pieces of checked baggage weighing no more than 25 kg each on flights to the Middle East, Japan, Guam, the US, and Canada.
- On Asia, Pacific, and European flights, you can bring your checked-in baggage between 30 and 40 kg for Business Class.
- For Business Class, you can bring two pieces of checked baggage weighing no more than 32 kg each on flights to the Middle East, Japan, Guam, the US, and Canada.
Note:
- No checked-in baggage can weigh more than 32 kg and won't be accepted by the airline.
- Any baggage exceeding the allowed weight is treated under the excess baggage policy.
Excess Baggage Allowance
- You must pay between USD 8 and 13 per kg for flights to Asia from MNL.
- For Pacific flights from MNL, you pay between 16 and 24 USD/kg.
- For Europen flights from MNL, you must pay 50 USD/kg.
- For the Middle East flights from MNL, the excess baggage charge is 160 USD, regardless of whether the extra luggage is overweight or oversized.
- For a flight from Japan to MNL, extra luggage will cost you 120 USD.
